The Daniel’s vision of Nebuchadnezzar’s dream is true as the God showed him the same dream. But his interpretation of the dream is false. Thy shall explain what the true interpretation is.
Here is the Daniel explanation to Nebuchadnezzar dream from Tyndale Bible 1536 – Daniel 2: 27-46 of Old Testament ::
“…. Thou king sawest, and behold: there stood before thee a great Image, whose figure was marvelous great, and his visage grim. The image head was of fine gold, his breast and arms of silver, his body and loins were of copper, his legs were of iron, his feet were part of iron, and part of earth. This thou sawest, till the time that (without any hands) there was hewn of a stone which smote the image upon the feet, that were both of iron and earth, and brake them to powder: Then was the iron, the earth, the copper, the silver and gold broken altogether in pieces: and became like the chaff of corn, that the wind bloweth away from the summer floors, that they can no more be found. But the stone that smote the Image, became a great mountain, which fulfilleth the whole earth: This is the dream. And now will we shew before the king, what
it meaneth. O king, thou art a king of kings: For the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, riches, strength, and majesty: And hath delivered thee all things, that are among the children of men: the beasts of the field, and the fowls under the heaven, and given thee dominion over them all. Thou art that golden head. After thee there shall arise another kingdom, which shall be less than thine. The third kingdom shall be like copper, and have domination in all lands. The fourth kingdom shall be as strong as iron. For like as iron bruiseth and breaketh all things: Yea even as iron beateth everything down, so shall it beat down and destroy. Whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of earth and part of iron: that is a divided kingdom, which never the less shall have some of the iron ground mixt with it, for so much as thou hast seen the iron mixt with the clay. The toes of the feet that were part of iron and part of clay, signifieth: that it shall be a kingdom partly strong and partly weak. And whereas thou sawest iron mixt with clay: they shall mingle themselves with the seed of simple people: and yet not continue one with another, like as iron will not besoldered with a potsherd. In the days of these kings, shall the God of heaven setup an ever lasting kingdom, which shall not perish, and his kingdom shall not be given over to another people: Yea the same shall break and destroy all these kingdoms, but it shall endure forever. And where as thou sawest, that without any hands there was cut out of the mount a stone, which brake the iron, the copper, the earth, the silver and gold in pieces: by that hath the great God shewed the king, what will come after this. This is a true dream, and the interpretation of it is sure. Then the king Nabuchodnosor fell down upon his face, and bowed himself unto Daniel.”
The above picture clearly shows what Daniel explained to Nebuchadnezzar. But the true meaning is different from Daniel’s explanation of Kingdoms and Materials.
Below is vedic verses from “Purusha Suktam”, is a literature meant for the ritual of “PurushaMedha Yajna”. The below verses from Purusha Suktam refers to God’s unfathomable form, from which everything is born. Read those verses.
1. A thousand heads hath Purusa, a thousand eyes, a thousand feet.
On every side pervading earth he fills a space ten fingers wide.
2. This Purusa is all that yet hath been and all that is to be;
The Lord of Immortality which waxes greater still by food.
3. So mighty is his greatness; yea, greater than this is Purusa.
All creatures are one-fourth of him, three-fourths eternal life in heaven.
4. With three-fourths Purusa went up: one fourth of him again was here.
Thence he strode out to every side over what eats not and what eats.
5. From him Viraj was born; again Purusa from Viraj was born.
As soon as he was born he spread eastward and westward o’er the earth.
6. When Gods prepared the sacrifice with Purusa as their offering,
Its oil was spring, the holy gift was autumn; summer was the wood.
7. They blamed as victim on the grass Purusa born in earliest time.
With him the Deities and all Sadhyas and Risis sacrificed.
8. From that great general sacrifice the dripping fat was gathered up.
He formed the creatures of-the air, and animals both wild and tame.
9. From that great general sacrifice Rig and Sama-hymns were born:
Therefrom were spells and charms produced; the Yajus had its birth from it.
10. From it were horses born, from it all cattle with two rows of teeth:
From it were generated kine, from it the goats and sheep were born.
11. When they divided Purusa how many portions did they make?
What do they call his mouth, his arms? What do they call his thighs and feet?
12. The Brahman was his mouth, of both his arms was the Rajanya made.
His thighs became the Vaisya, from his feet the Sudra was produced.
13. The Moon was gendered from his mind, and from his eye the Sun had birth;
Indra and Agni from his mouth were born, and Vayu from his breath.
14. Forth from his navel came mid-air the sky was fashioned from his head
Earth from his feet, and from his ear the regions. Thus they formed the worlds.”
From the verses 11 & 12, you can understand that Brahmins formed from the Head of Purusha. The Kshatriya was the arms of this Purusha, The Vaishyas were the thighs. And the Shudras were the feet.
The Brahmin was called the head, since it was on top of the Purusha. As the head is called the very best part of the body, the control room, and microprocessor in the body, so was a Brahmin, with all of his learning. The Kshatriya was the arms of this Purusha, as to protect the Universe. The Vaishyas to support the Universe, as they were the thighs. And the Shudras were the feet, that carry the load. The feet have been mentioned twice, for the Shudras, as well the very earth.
There were five castes stated in the Vedas, as “Panchajanah” (Yajurveda Madhyandin 25.23). These five, include, other than the four stated above, in the Purusha Sukta, also the caste of “Nishaad” as per some commentators, but this has not been included in the Purusha Sukta.
Hence the verse stating all the four varnas together, and from the same purusha, is to show that they are born out of the same God, from the same process of the Yajna, so none of them is small or big. This includes everybody out of the four varnas, all are from the same source, so none of them is out caste. To state that they were formed out of different body parts of the Purusha, is just a poetical way to show their origin. Since they were born out of the body of the God, and for the devotees, all the parts of the body of God are equally important, there should not be any discrimination. Even for the mundane deities, all of the body parts are equally fit for worshiping. It is also a fact that the feet of the God are worshiped first.
What the Almighty One God showed and warned Nebuchadnezzar in his dream is this same “Purush” being demolished by something a stone coming from nowhere and filling the whole earth. Of course Daniel has envisioned the dream correctly, but interpreted it wrongly. The actual meaning is “The Universe which is based on principle of Wise, Force, System and Work will be destroyed from an alien thing, which will later rule the earth.” This is the same thing happened till day. Since many Yugas, Vedas have been speaking of Sanatana Dharma which is the Universal principle, but from some centuries this Sanatana Dharma has declined due to effect of Kaliyuga, the present eon.
If you read Plato’s “The Republic”, you will find that he too advocated for three classes of people – Economic Class (comprising of small traders, farmers, factory workers etc.), Auxiliary Class (Comprising of people entrusted with law and order maintenance, military services and administration and implementation of long-term policies etc.,) and Guardian Class (Comprising of highly intelligent and wise people, the Philosophers) who will rule the state.
What we should understand is “God has already warned Nebuchadnezzar regarding violation of principles.”
