From Daniel 7:25 and Daniel 12:7, it can be deduced that he who speaks against the God and who tries to change the set times and laws will make holy people suffer for “a time, times and half a time.”
Most of the translators concluded it to be 3 1/2 years, as time – 1 year, times – 2 years, half a time – 1/2 year.So they the word “time” as “a year”.
But my question is “If the angel who said the above time phrase to Daniel really means the word ‘time’ is for ‘a year’, then why didn’t the angel says – “three and half times” ?
So there is a motive behind the angel phrase, that perhaps in the phrase
“time, times and half a time” –
the ‘time’ referred three times are not same as one another. That might be the reason why the Angel cut the phrase into 3 points of times.
The first ‘time’ might be a year. The second ‘times’ might be of ‘months’. The third ‘half a time’ might be of a ‘week’. So if we try to deduce the time period basing on this conclusion, that would be
time – a year – 365 days (average)
times – months – 2 months – 2*30 days = 60 days (average)
half a time – half a week – 3 1/2 days.
** 365+ 60 + 3 1/2 days = 428.5 days.
This number of days from Daniel 7:25 and Daniel 12:7 regarding tribulation of holy people by Antichrist which is 428.5 days exactly matches with that of Quran’s Dajjal (Antichrist) rule.
From Quran :
***** The wife of the Messenger of Allah, Hafsah daughter of ‘Umar, said that the Messenger of Allah said, “He (the Dajjal) will appear driven by a fit of rage.” He also said, “He (the Dajjal) will first appear to people, driven in a fit of rage. The Dajjal will appear at the end of time, when religion is taken lightly. He will have 40 days in which to travel throughout the earth. One of these days will be like a year, another will be like a month, and another will be like a week, and the rest will be like normal days.”
40 days : 1st day – one year (354 or 355 days for Muslims) , 2nd – one month, 3rd – one week, 4th to 40th – normal days.
Total – 355 + 30 + 7 + 37 = 429 days !
Hence the period has been matched in both Bible and Quran as nearly 428 or 429 days.
